Welcome to my webpage! I am very excited to be your child's sixth grade science teacher this school year. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My passion has always been teaching. I have over thirty-two years of teaching experience having taught grade levels from kindergarten thru eighth grade. I have been married for forty-four years. My husband, who is an attorney, and I reside in Robstown. I am also blessed with two children. My daughter, Marisa, graduated from Robstown High School. She is an environmental attorney and a partner with a law firm in Austin. My son, Jack, has followed in my footsteps and is currently a teacher at Ortiz Intermediate School. I am extremely proud to say that I am finally a grandmother. My husband and I have been blessed with an amazing grandson who is now two years old.
I am very excited to be back at Seale Junior High which is the place where I started my Robstown teaching experience many years ago. As a teacher, I set high expectations for all of my students and expect nothing less than 100% of myself and of my students. I look forward to working with you in creating a productive partnership to ensure that all of our children achieve their highest potential. We will be a "class family" and will always be considerate and respectful of ourselves and others.
My classes will be studying several units throughout the year. These include: properties of matter, elements, compounds, energy resources and conservation of energy which will be covered the first semester. During the second semester, we will study force and motion, the solar system, Earth materials, plate tectonics, taxonomic groups, and ecosystems.
