Students will have the opportunity to…
✅ Discover different types of poetry
✅ Analyze famous poems & song lyrics
✅ Create your own traditional & non-traditional poems
✅ Get inspired by music, pictures, and real-life stories
✅ Have a chance to share your work!

📅 Session 1: April 1st – Introduction to Poetry & Scavenger Hunt
• Warm-Up (10 min): Icebreaker – “What’s Your Favorite Word?”
• Lesson (20 min): Overview of different poetry types
• Activity (25 min): Poetry scavenger hunt (find examples of rhyme, alliteration, imagery, etc.)
• Wrap-Up (5 min): Share findings & discuss favorite poems
